About Quincy Parks Conservancy
The mission of Quincy Parks Conservancy, Inc. is to protect and promote park lands, beaches, parkways and other open spaces within the City of Quincy, Massachusetts for the use and enjoyment of Quincy residents, visitors and tourists.

The City of Quincy owns 52 municipal park locations situated on over 320 acres of public land, 10 municipal beach areas and numerous other open space areas. The City’s parks already provide resources for a wide variety of activities from playgrounds for small children, to walking trails to basketball courts, softball fields and skateboard parks. The Quincy Parks Conservancy can add considerable value for the residents and visitors of Quincy in a number of ways, but stewardship is chief among them.

Continuing and building upon the park system plan started by Charles Francis Adams II and Frederick Law Olmstead in 1885, the Quincy Parks Conservancy will work with the City of Quincy and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with planning, restoration and maintenance projects on such lands and open spaces; and promote events and programs that contribute to preservation, enhancement and appreciation of the natural environment and public open spaces, and historic sites. Preserving these historic areas for future generations are imperative, once lost these treasures cannot be regained.
