Squantum July 4 Parade Committee

The Squantum Parade Committee runs Squantum’s longest tradition, the Annual Squantum 4th of July Parade. Fundraisers are held throughout the year to fund the event.

Thank you to all our neighbors who support our cherished July 4th Parade. A big thank you to all the volunteers who work to put the parade together.

Upcoming events

Squantum Road Race
Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10 AM

  • 9:30 a.m.: Registration
  • 10 a.m.: Road Race

Meet at the Squantum Community Center, 50 Huckins Ave, Squantum
Registration: $20/adult, Kids under 10 free
Trophies and t-shirts provided.
All proceeds benefit the parade. Sponsored by State Rep. Bruce Ayers

July Fourth Parade!

  • 9 a.m.: Flag raising at the cannon by members of the Robert I. Nickerson Post
  • 10 a.m.: the Parade steps off
  • Awards and fun behind the Squantum School following the parade

Deadlines for sign ups:

Floats (6/22/19 deadline)
Making floats is a great way to bring your neighbors together. Talk to your neighbors, relatives, and get the kids involved…the more the merrier! Cash prizes. The street that wins the Squantum Parade will have a sign posted on their street for a week. Good luck!

Marchers (6/26/19 deadline)
Individual or group marchers, costumes or local Youth Sports.
Decorate your baby carriages and wagons.

Grand Marshal
The committee is accepting nominations for a Squantum resident who has shown great involvement with in the community over the years.

Your donations are welcome by the July 4th Committee. Suggested donation per family is $20, but any donation is very much appreciated.
