Hi,
I was born in Squantum in 1942, attended Squantum Public School, North Quincy High and Thayer Academy. My grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Charles J. Herbert, moved to Squantum @ 1918 and spent the rest of their lives at 11 Bayberry. My uncle, John Herbert, lived on Park Street, and was the editor of both the Patriot Ledger and the Boston Herald. My Dad, Charles R. Herbert, was Commissioner of Public Works for the city of Quincy and we lived at 119 Ocean St., which was renamed 11 Surfside Lane in the 1960s. I would love to reconnect with some of my friends and classmates from Squantum, if possible. I would also love having some areal photos of Squantum, if anyone has some. I live in Ontario, Canada, and can be reached at the above email address. Holly (Herbert) Franklin.
